Electrified CO2 Capture Technologies for Climeta Neutrality
PandORA advances electrified CO2 capture technologies designed for retrofit deployment in existing industrial sites. Traditional CO2 capture systems often rely on thermal energy, increasing fuel demand. PandORA evaluates electricity-driven alternatives, supporting emission reduction with lower reliance on fossil fuels.
Working Towards Industrial Climate Neutrality
Our Vision
PandORA envisions electrified CO2 capture solutions that enable deep emissions reduction in hard-to-abate sectors while supporting the transition to renewable electricity systems.
Our Mission
To validate, optimise and benchmark retrofittable electrified CO2 capture technologies and supporting innovations, enabling cost-competitive pathways to industrial decarbonisation.
DISCOVER OUR APPROACH
Our Objectives
- Demonstrate and benchmark electrified CO2 capture technologies at TRL5–7
- Assess retrofitability and techno-economic feasibility in cement and power use-cases
- Target electricity intensity comparable to benchmark electrified capture levels (~400 kWhe/ton CO2)
- Identify scenarios where electrified capture is cost-competitive with state-of-the-art alternatives
- Reduce emissions from solvent-based capture by advancing dedicated mitigation solutions
- Improve solvent management through electrified reclaiming technologies
- Strengthen CO2 conditioning design through improved thermodynamic models and data
